Colorful. Bright. Fun. These are the words that not only describe Caitlin + Andrew's late April wedding, but also their relationship together! Not to mention that they are head over heels for each other.
Caitlin + Andrew live in Boston, but had a love for Portland and knew it was where they wanted to get married. Andrew proposed to Caitlin at Portland Head Light, so of course we HAD to do their First Look at Fort Williams.
The rain held off for their First Look and it was a teary-eyed moment of pure joy and happiness. A cloudy Saturday in April with the threat of rain meant we had the park almost all to ourselves. Caitlin and Andrew really wanted to spend an extended time taking photos in this most meaningful of places and it was so worth it. Caitlin came prepared in her cowgirl boots for a lot of walking and we headed up and down the park for their photos together.
Next stop - The Portland Company for their ceremony in the Machine Room. Sadly, this was our last ever wedding here as the building is being torn down. Again, things got a little teary-eyed at the ceremony, but then...it was to celebrate!
BUT, first we had to spend a bit more time outside for photos on the Narrow Gauge train just outside The Portland Company and that's when the rain came. Caitlin and Andrew didn't mind though and we brought out the trusty umbrellas to keep them dry.
The reception was filled with a ton of dancing and an especially fun father/daughter dance with Caitlin and her dad. And to top it all off, there were Holy Donuts for dessert. Major score.
